performances for years. This concert highlighted the fact that she has several different voices....
in 'We Need a little Christmas' and 'I'll be Home for Christmas' (arranged by Norcott), she used her
Broadway sound, in which her lower range took on delicious dark overtones. In Norcott's
arrangement of 'Sweet Little Jesus Boy' and in 'Winter Wonderland,' she became a jazz singer,
mellow and dreamy. This versatile, expressive soprano is at the peak of her vocal powers, and
hearing her was a special treat."
